About The Whitfield Las Olas
Stonehill Taylor designed the 12-story building with shops on the ground floor, a restaurant with a terrace over Las Olas on the second floor and a rooftop pool, cafe and private dining room. Stiles Construction is the contractor.
The project was first approved at 10 stories with about 140 hotel rooms. Construction began in 2022 and reached the basement garage and ground-floor foundation before the owners paused to redesign it with condominiums. The county roll still records the parcel as vacant land because nothing has been built above grade.
