About Bungalow East
Swedroe Architecture designed a white tower with rounded terraces that wrap the corners, set on a 3-level garage on the east side of North Birch Road between Windamar and Viramar Streets. The city plans put 9 residential floors of 4 homes each above a fourth-level pool and amenity deck, with roof terraces on top and roughly 1,300 square feet of street-front space for a cafe or wine bar beside the lobby.
The plan has grown in 3 steps. The city approved 11 stories and 21 units here in 2019, then 14 stories at 144 feet and 32 units in 2022, then 36 units with penthouse-level changes in October 2024. Merrimac launched sales a month later at 34 residences, which is the figure on the official site today.
